This month's featured charity is the Rock and Roll Forever Foundation, a 501(c)(3) established by Steven Van Zandt (with the Founders Board of Bono, Jackson Browne, Martin Scorsese, and Bruce Springsteen). Their TeachRock program empowers teachers and engages students by using popular music to create interdisciplinary, culturally responsive education materials for all 21st century classrooms. As Executive Director, Bill Carbone states, "Students with access to the arts have better critical thinking skills, think more positively about their school experience, and report higher self aspirations."
